Ill stick with the original N64 Perfect Dark, The switch version is bad.

They want to kill emulation so we have to constantly pay a service fee to play these old games... and they can't even be bothered to make sure they work right. I think it's time for Nintendo to pack it in and go away.

Perfect Dark XBLA: Tones down the dizzy effect (e.g. stopping it from carrying across lives in the Combat Simulator) Perfect Dark Switch: Ramps up the dizziness to maximum.

The most infuriating thing about Nintendo is how phony they are. The whole Vimm's Lair lawsuit proves they are only cruel and litigious business robots. They will take down roms available for free and then garbage emulation like this is their lazy internal solution.

the funny part is that i don´t even get why people even played the original game, i have not really played that game much but from what i remember, it ran extremely bad, and i remember trying co-op. and it was basically single digit stutter mess. They preesed the n64 waaay to far.

I assume there will be patches. I'm interested how is 4 player death match with 8 sims. Is it as unplayable as it was on N64?

I was rocking out on goldeneye 007 with a 64 controller. Still plenty of fun and useable.

I'll stick with the existing Xbox remaster.

I kinda don't get the approach of Nintendo releasing games on a broken or almost untested state just to wait for people to complain and then fix them Kinda the same happened with Ocarina, and heck they didn't even fixed Ocarina back on the Wii U, which makes me believe if people didn't complained about NSO they just wouldn't had cared

The Extraction X music glitch sometimes happens when skipping the Intro Cutscene, the command to play it simply got skipped so after a little bit the regular Music Track starts playing. Never gotten around to truly testing it but I think it's related to how soon you skip the Intro Cutscene? Regardless I can confirm that isn't a problem with the NSO version, as I've run into this multiple times on 1964. Not sure if it's possible on Console, if I'm right about it being based on how fast you skip the Cutscene it might be an issue with having a higher framerate. As for Deep Sea X not playing, the way the video is edited I don't know if you skipped the Cutscene or let it play out that time but if you did skip then that might've been the issue. The blur effect was insane though, the effect is extreme but it seems to function correctly which might be why it was approved. Hopefully that gets patched later as NSO games do occasionally get patches based on feedback. Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a great example as it had multiple visual glitches fixed a couple of months after it was added...however that was a first party game and there likely won't be enough people complaining about Perfect Dark to get patched. Most people will likely assume the blur was always that extreme and just complain about it in general rather than it being an emulation issue. Anyways, it's a shame that this is the worst way to play the game but it was kind of expected since fans have been messing with this game for decades.

I was highly skeptical when they announced perfect dark for switch online since goldeneye was handled poorly, and I was right to do so. Im honestly not suprsied perfect dark also had issues, the frame dips are just laughable, and the controls with an actual n64 controller are unironically better. I honestly see no point of playing this when now we have the pc port

This is close to mine, except I dislike Complex (I know it's popular though) and always found the layout too confusing, and move that to probably C tier. I would move Facility and Basement to S. 2 v 2 facility with defend/storm the bathroom golden gun was an old favorite, and basement LTK pistols is #1.

My favorite thing to do on PD multi was to have 8 custom sims with 1-2 on my team, the rest on other group teams, bump up my health to 1000%, and run around a level for hours never getting killed just having a blast.

I used to use the golden gun cheat and kill him.

How many (Estimated) credits do you gain in total through Dark side play before you arrive at the Star Forge Island? I plan on getting a good start on my credits before leaving planet Taris, so that I leave with the same amount as a light sider as if I were playing the dark side. It won't be like I'd be able to get rich quick on pazaak alone, but I would like more than the start of the 203-15,000 that I would eventually be given at the end of the Taris zone, and I do not want to wait for the opportunity to sell stuff from the first 3 of the companions or the recovery of the Ebon Hawk.
